Move Like a Mother has three different classes available throughout the week:


Mondays from 9:30-10:30am at Desert Skies Methodist Church (3255 N Houghton Rd)

OR

Wednesdays from 3-4pm at Saint Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church (4440 N Campbell)

OR

Wednesdays from 4:45-5:45pm at Saint Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church (4440 N Campbell)

Here's what you can expect in Move Like a Mother: Class starts with a quick check in and warmup & mobility work to get your body ready to start moving. We review the exercises for the day, and we head into a 20-30 minute go-at-your-own-pace workout. And we finish with a brief cooldown. During class you can expect to do exercises with bodyweight, dumbbells ranging from 5-20lbs, and resistance bands. All equipment is provided. 

Modifications and progressions are coached by a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Pregnancy & Postpartum Exercise Specialist for each exercise to help you reach the right level of challenge to meet you exactly where you are in your movement journey.

As with every class, babies and children are welcome! Younger babies tend to hang out on a blanket next to your mat, in your arms, or you can practice your babywearing skills (exercise modifications available). Older toddlers and kiddos can hang out and play with each other throughout class (just bring their favorite toys and snacks). 

Due to the intensity, pace, and size of this class, it's recommended that participants be at least 3-4 months postpartum or have completed The Core Recovery Course, Stroller Strength, some pelvic floor physical therapy, or have some understanding of diaphragmatic breathing & management of your pelvic floor/core symptoms before joining this class.

The Core Recovery Course is the recommended starting point to learn about pelvic floor engagement, symptom management, and rebuilding foundation level strength postpartum. For more information or questions, please reach out to ajax.tess@gmail.com.
