Stroller Strength, Indoor Summer Edition has all the core pieces of our most popular class: --Bodyweight exercises
-Pregnancy & postpartum conscious workouts

-Stroller & babywearing-friendly

...but we are moving INDOORS to the Tucson JCC in a climate-controlled space for the hot summer months. (Don't worry, we'll still return class to being fully outdoors at Sabino in October!)

When weather allows, and whenever it feels good, you’ll also have the option to take part of the class outside for a walk or light run along a paved path through the beautiful sculpture garden right outside our room. This optional outdoor loop offers a chance to gently return to running or build running capacity under the guidance of a coach, get the benefits of movement in nature, and connect with the other moms in class. 

All fitness levels and abilities are welcome. Modifications and progressions are offered for every exercise so you can choose what feels supportive for your body each day.

Babies and children are welcome in all forms - strollers, carriers, or on foot. Older toddlers are welcome to walk alongside the group during the optional outdoor portions.

Here’s the general flow of class:

  1. We meet indoors at the JCC for a warm-up and movement prep
  2. We complete a guided strength workout using bodyweight and resistance bands
  3. Optional: we head outside for a stroller walk/run loop through the sculpture garden (paved path)
  4. We return indoors for targeted mobility, core integration, a cool-down, and community check out.

All stages of pregnancy and postpartum are welcome. Newly postpartum moms are encouraged to start with The Core Recovery Course. 

Postpartum participants must be at least 6 weeks postpartum and have clearance from their healthcare provider for exercise. 

Refunds are not available for classes missed. One "make up" class is granted each series and must be used within the 6 weeks series (aka makeups don't roll over to the next series).
